Operations Associate
I am very grateful that I have always had a safe and secure place to sleep at night, but from my time volunteering with people experiencing homelessness and working for nonprofit service providers, I am very aware that this is not the case for everyone. Many Americans are just one financial emergency away from becoming unhoused themselves. I believe that housing is a fundamental human right, and if you want to help people out of poverty, they need a safe and stable foundation to build upon.
Alexandra joined YIMBY Action as our Operations Associate in June 2023. Previously, she worked for a community development corporation focused on revitalizing a historically Black neighborhood in South Atlanta. Her areas of expertise are in database management, project management, and grant compliance. She has always been interested in and supportive of the pro-housing movement–especially as it relates to equity, racial justice, and poverty alleviation. She has a Master’s Degree from the University of Georgia in Nonprofit Management and Leadership.
